As a manager of others you have the opportunity to help your employees and your team grow and develop. In this course we'll focus on the techniques of coaching; you will learn about the benefits of coaching your employees for development as well as for performance. What techniques should you use to encourage employees to change their behaviors? How can you use coaching to motivate an employee to reach and grow beyond their current role? You will have the opportunity to practice skills in this class and will leave feeling confident in your ability to coach and mentor your employees toward greater success

- Learn about coaching and how it differs from mentoring and consulting
- Learn techniques to effectively coach your employees to improve their on the job performance
- Learn how to use coaching to help guide your employees development and career planning
Workshop Format:
The seminar is a three-hour classroom workshop with a didactic presentation and interactive exercises led by an expert facilitator.

Nancy Friedman, MBA
Nancy Friedman is a leadership development consultant and executive coach with 25 years of business experience in both large and entrepreneurial environments. She works with executives and teams across a variety of industries including health care, technology, marketing, non profits, education, sales and law. The focus of her work is on personal and organizational effectiveness, team building, leadership and strategic management, career counseling. Nancy's experience leading strategy and marketing organizations at Visa USA, Levi Strauss, Dreyer's Ice Cream and Crown Zellerbach and her understanding of the challenges leaders face in health care and other industries enable her to bring insights and practical approaches to her clients.Nancy has a Master of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at Berkeley and BA in Sociology from UC Berkeley. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and graduated from the International Coach Academy as a Certified Professional Coach.
