Introduction to Emotional Intelligence at Work

No doubt you know that people skills such as team building, adapting to change and communication are essential to succeeding at work. But do you know that Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the foundation for all of these skills? In fact, recent research has shown that EI is twice as important as IQ in determining future career success. Emotional Intelligence is about self-awareness adn interpersonal interactions. In this workshop, we will discuss EI and how it applies to work. You will then have the opportunity to assess your EI strengths and limitations and practice skills to improve your EI on the job.

Workshop Objectives
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
  • Define Emotional Intelligence (EI)
  • Assess their EI strengths and limitations
  • Apply one new EI practice skill at work
