About Us
Clinic Leadership Institute is a signature project of Blue Shield of California Foundation. The Institute’s program and course content is administered by the UCSF Center for the Health Professions.
Blue Shield of California Foundation is committed to making health care effective, safe, and accessible for all Californians, particularly underserved people. Since 2003, the Foundation has provided over $29 million in general operating support to over 200 community clinics statewide. Recognizing the importance of cultivating leaders to strengthen clinics in the future, the Foundation has created CLI through a partnership with UCSF Center for the Health Professions.
The Center for the Health Professions focuses its efforts on understanding the challenges of the health care workforce and developing programs and resources that assist in successful transitions to emergent health care systems. The Center’s mission is to transform health care through workforce research and leadership development.
