Eligibility
The fellowships are open to nurses in senior executive roles in health services, (including patient care service, integrated delivery systems, health plans, and other health organizations engaged in organizing and delivering health care); public/community health; and nursing education. In order to be eligible for the RWJF Executive Nurse Fellows Program, applicants must:
- Possess a strong professional record reflecting positions of increasing leadership responsibility,
- Demonstrate a commitment to executive leadership in health care and/or health professions education,
- Demonstrate a desire to exert a profound impact on the emerging health care delivery system, and the potential to achieve higher levels of leadership,
- Obtain a corresponding commitment from the CEO or Board Chair of their employing organization to provide: (a) compensation and release time to attend program seminars and activities, and (b) matching resources to the challenge grant award.
- Be citizens of the U.S. or its territories or have permanent residency status at the time of application.
