Professional Bio

As the Assistant Vice President of Health Services Administration, Erika Sockaci is responsible for the operations of AltaMed’s medical and dental clinics in Los Angeles County (16 locations), substance abuse treatment program (1 location), HIV/AIDS multidisciplinary program (4 locations), and Youth Services and Workforce Development programs (2 locations).  These programs currently have an operating budget of approximately $50 million, which continues to increase as AltaMed opens new clinics.

Erika joined AltaMed in 2001, and since that time has worked as a Project Manager, Clinic Administrator, and AVP.  Erika played an instrumental role in the opening of AltaMed Medical and Dental Group - Bell in October 2003, AltaMed’s first new clinic in several years and first dental practice.  Erika has overseen significant growth acquiring several new locations and expanding many others to nearly double the operating revenues.  Erika serves as the Chair of the Electronic Practice Management system implementation and works closely with the physician champion in the organization's current implementation of  Electronic Health Records.  

Erika received a dual Master’s Degree in both Business and Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in April 2001.  She also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Pitt in 1999.
