Jill Briggs, RN, MS, MPH
Director of Public Health Nursing/Community Health Services Administrator for Chisago County Minnesota. In her role as Director, Ms. Briggs supervises personnel, plans, implements and evaluates departmental wide programs, and interprets relevant federal, county laws, policies, procedures and guidelines. She came to Chisago County in August 2007 from the Minnesota Department of Health where she was the State Title V Maternal Child Health (MCH) Director resonsible for managing MCH programs such as family planning, infant mortality, home visiting, and women's health. Ongoing study of MCH indicators and other data was necessary in order to direct the design, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive statewide MCH programs. In 2000 Ms. Briggs presented "Understanding and Measuring Collaborative Efforts: It Can be Done!" at the Healthy Families America national conference. In 2001, Ms. Briggs presented "Building a Statewide Outcome Based Evaluation Plan for Home Visits funded by federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Funds" at the 129th American Public Health Association annual meeting. Ms. Briggs was recognized by the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health and School of Nursing (2004-2006) for her work as a mentor with nursing and public health students. Ms. Briggs was recognized (2006) for her work with nursing graduates participating in the University of Minnesota N-Lighten Nurse Residency program.
