Field Of Research:
Functional
Genomics of Prostrate Cancer, Clinical Genomics
Research Interest:
My laboratory
uses a functional genomic approach to study human disease processes
ranging from inflammation to neoplasia. Currently we are focused
on using DNA and protein microarrays to molecularly dissect prostate
cancer. We hope to define a molecular classification for this common
disease that will be of use in clinical practice. Hypotheses generated
from our global profiling studies have fueled our current research
endeavors leading to the identification of several candidate biomarkers
and novel cancer regulatory genes. Furthermore, we are developing
bioinformatic techniques and resources that will be useful in analyzing
gene and proteomic expression data in the context of clinical parameters.
