April 19, 2010
For Immediate Release:
April 19th, 2010

The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation has selected the Change Agent Program’s Cohort 2 at the Center. The program, launched in 2009, aims to measurably improve quality and safety in Bay Area hospitals by equipping participants with the leadership and change management skills needed to affect and sustain positive change—regardless of their position within a hospital.

CAP is a unique inter-disciplinary training program developing and supporting emerging hospital leaders in all departments, particularly those with a passion and vision for change. Over the next 12 months, participants in the Change Agent Program will attend 5 seminars, that include project management, strategy development, communication, and applying their new skills to two patient improvement projects in their hospitals for a 24-month project period. The program is administered by the Center for the Health Professions at the University of California, San Francisco.
